Genuine VW Accessories®
This genuine VW gear knob with gaiter brings the interior of your VW Beetle 5C (model years 2012 to 2019) back to its best. The original part with part number 5C0711113E KLG comes directly from Volkswagen and is made precisely for the centre console of the Beetle Cabriolet and Beetle Coupé: no replica, but a factory fit.
The shift knob is designed for the 6-speed manual gearbox and shows the shift pattern R-1-3-5 / 2-4-6. Knob and gaiter are covered in black leather, the orange decorative stitching adds a sporty splash of colour, and silver trim rings on the knob and frame complete the look.
Ideal if your old gear stick knob is worn or the gaiter is cracked: with the complete set of gear knob and gaiter, the centre console instantly looks well cared for again – the part you hold in your hand on every drive.

Frequently asked questions
Does the gear knob fit my VW Beetle 5C Cabriolet or Coupé?
Yes. The genuine gear knob with part number 5C0711113E KLG is intended for the VW Beetle 5C Cabriolet and Coupé, model years 2012 to 2019, with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Does the gear knob also fit a 5-speed gearbox?
The shift pattern on the knob shows six gears (R-1-3-5 / 2-4-6). With a 5-speed gearbox the markings would not be correct. Please check the shift pattern on your current knob before ordering.
Is the gear knob suitable for DSG or automatic?
No. This is a gear knob for manual transmissions. For DSG and automatic gearboxes Volkswagen uses a separate selector lever.
How does this gear knob differ from other Beetle gear knobs?
You can recognise this version by the orange decorative stitching on black leather and by the part number 5C0711113E KLG. When comparing with other variants, check the code at the end of the part number – it stands for the respective colour version.
How can I tell that it is a genuine VW part?
The gear knob is supplied in original Volkswagen packaging. The label and the gaiter carry the part number 5C0 711 113 E KLG, which you can compare with your vehicle specification.
Expert tips
- Count the gears on your current gear knob before buying – the Beetle comes with 5-speed and 6-speed shift patterns, and only the right one matches your gearbox.
- The orange stitching looks especially good if your interior already has coloured accents – compare the stitching colour with your seats and steering wheel beforehand.
- Treat the leather occasionally with a mild leather care product – it stays supple and does not turn shiny or cracked.
- Keep the original packaging with the label – it proves authenticity if you sell the car later.
