Genuine VW Beetle 5C Seat Cover – Leather Backrest Cover Titan Black and Salsa Red, Left Driver Seat
Part number: 5C5881805R EII
Genuine VW Accessories®
This genuine VW backrest cover brings the driver seat of your VW Beetle 5C (model years 2012 to 2016) back to its best. The original part with part number 5C5881805R EII comes from Volkswagen and is made precisely for the backrest of the left front seat of the Beetle Cabriolet and Beetle Coupé: no universal cover, but a factory fit.
The cover is made of leather in the colour combination titan black and salsa red: the bright red centre panel features the typical horizontal quilting, while the side bolsters are black. It adds a sporty accent to the interior – whether in the classic Cabriolet or the sporty Coupé.
Ideal if the leather on the driver backrest is cracked, discoloured or worn from getting in and out every day: instead of a complete seat, you only replace the cover and get a flawless look in original quality again.

Frequently asked questions
Does the backrest cover fit my VW Beetle 5C Cabriolet or Coupé?
Yes. The genuine backrest cover with part number 5C5881805R EII is intended for the VW Beetle 5C Cabriolet and Coupé, model years 2012 to 2016 – for the front left driver seat.
Does the cover also fit the passenger seat?
No. This cover is made for the backrest of the left driver seat. The right passenger seat needs its own cover.
Does the cover match an all-black leather interior?
This cover is two-tone in titan black with salsa red. For an all-black interior there are separate covers in titan black – it is best to compare colour and quilting with your existing seats.
Is the seat cushion cover included?
No. You receive a backrest cover, i.e. the cover for the seat back. Seat cushion cover and padding are not included.
How can I tell that it is a genuine VW part?
The VW label carries the part number 5C5-881-805-R-EII. You can compare this number with your vehicle specification.
Expert tips
- Before buying, compare colour, quilting and seat side with your car or have the part number confirmed using your vehicle identification number (VIN).
- Treat the leather occasionally with a mild leather care product – the driver backrest in particular is heavily stressed when getting in and out.
- Store the cover dry and away from direct sunlight until it is fitted, so that the red leather does not fade.
- Especially in the Cabriolet, it pays to protect the leather from strong sun when the roof is open.
